NET2009 Conference
Tuesday 8 - Thursday 10 September 2009
Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge University, Cambridge
CB3 0DG, UK
Location and directions
Cambridge’s unique setting on the banks of the River Cam, the ‘backs’ and the magnificent architecture of the University buildings all combine to make Cambridge one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in Britain. It is not too large and has all the amenities you would expect from a University City.
Cambridge is about 60 miles north of London, and is easily accessible by train from London (under an hour’s journey) and by air from Heathrow, Norwich or Stansted Airports.
Fitzwilliam College is one of the modern colleges in the university. It is a short walk from the city centre and enjoys a large and peaceful site. A number of new buildings and facilities have been added over the years - most recently a new auditorium and further ensuite bedrooms. The accommodation is comfortable; all rooms are ensuite and include coffee and tea-making facilities.
