GLAD conference papers The student experience in art and design higher education: drivers for change The GLAD 2007 conference was a unique 5-day event that used open space technology to bring together a group of 50 key professionals to discuss the student experience in art and design. In addition to organising the entire conference, the JRA team project managed the publication of the results of the debates at this event. This involved liaising with numerous authors, managing the review process, ensuring schedules were maintained, editing the entire manuscript and publishing the book. The result is an important strategic and ground-breaking book: The student experience in art and design higher education: drivers for change Cambridge conferences papers Exploring academic development in higher education: issues of engagement On two occasions eminent international groups of academics and staff developers came together at the 'Cambridge conference' to discuss issues of importance in staff development and leadership. The intellectual debate stimulated at both events has resulted in two significant books which capture the outcomes of these debates. The JRA team managed the final stages of the writing of the chapters, the review process, edited the final chapters, managed the design process and published the resulting books: Exploring academic development in higher education: issues of engagement and Exploring good leadership and management practice in higher education: issues of engagement My Birds: a series of books for children And now for something completely different! At JRA we have used our skill and experience of project management and developing publications to develop a series of books for children. Inspired and written by Hazel Douglas, these delightful books combine imaginative stories with beautiful illustrations. Richard Johnson, the illustrator works on field guides so his illustrations convey a real understanding of the nature and habitat of the birds that feature in each book. The JRA team coordinate the development of the text, illustrations and page design and publish the series. |
