Research ethics approval in the NHSOne-day professional development workshop Tuesday 29 November 2011
This practical one-day workshop, led by one of the country’s leading research ethics professionals, will improve your knowledge of what you need to do to prepare an application and then progress successfully through the ethical review process and gain a favourable ethical opinion. If you wish to undertake research involving human participants within the NHS you must receive a favourable ethical opinion from a National Research Ethics Service (NRES) Research Ethics Committee (REC). This involves an application submitted using the Integrated Research Application System (IRAS) which can be a complex and time-consuming process. This workshop will provide you with: By the end of the workshop you will have a thorough understanding of the process and practical requirements for seeking a favourable ethical opinion to undertake research in the NHS.
