Location and directions

Cambridge’s unique setting on the banks of the River Cam, the ‘backs’ and the magnificent architecture of the University buildings all combine to make Cambridge one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in Britain. It is not too large and has all the amenities you would expect from a University city.

Cambridge is about 60 miles north of London, and is easily accessible by train from London (under an hour’s journey) and by air from Heathrow, Norwich or Stansted Airports.

This year the conference will be held at Churchill College, Storey's Way, Cambridge, CB3 0DS, UK. For details on getting to Churchill College please see their website:  http://www.churchillconferences.co.uk/findus.php

Churchill College was founded in 1958 by Sir Winston Churchill and was the first Cambridge College of the ‘modern era’. The Churchill Archive houses the papers of Sir Winston Churchill and other leading 20th Century figures. The College is a short walk from the city centre and is set in grounds of some 40 acres on one of the largest sites of any Cambridge college.

We will use two halls of residence this year: Churchill and Murray Edwards Colleges. Both venues have ensuite accommodation with coffee- and tea-making facilities, free cable internet access and they have hairdryers available on request. Churchill College also provide clock radios.

We will send you information about which accommodation you will be staying in, as well as directions, by email a week or so before the conference.

If you have any questions regarding any aspects of this conference please speak to Anna at Jill Rogers Associates.
