Information for presenters

Information for oral presenters

Oral presenters are allocated 20 minutes presentation time. It is suggested you plan your presentation for 15 minutes and leave 5 minutes for questions. There will be a convenor present in each symposium to run the session and manage time keeping.

Each meeting room is equipped with a laptop, screen and a data projector. All oral presenters should load their PowerPoint presentations onto the laptop in the room they are presenting in, prior to their presentation time. There will be a dedicated technician on hand in each meeting room, should you need assistance.

The data projectors will support two formats of screen size: wide screen (16:9) or standard (12:9) but to make the most of the screens available, which are slightly squarer, it is advised to use the standard size (12:9) for PowerPoint presentations.

Please see the detailed programme to view the day and time your presentation will take place, along with the room you will be presenting in.

Information for poster presenters

Posters will be displayed in the Boulind Suite.

You should produce your poster in in landscape format an in A1 paper size. Please see the Poster presenter guidance below for additional information.

Memory sticks
All participants will receive a memory stick pen with their delegate pack. The keynote, oral and poster presentation papers have been uploaded onto the memory sticks.

There are no public computers available for delegate's use at Homerton College. If you wish to bring your own laptop or tablet with you, Homerton College, King's College, SECED or the conference managers will not accept responsibility for loss or damage to delegates' property. Delegtaes are therefore advised to have the appropriate insurance.
